Course Description
The Advanced Social Work Practice with Families course emphasizes the importance of health as a human right and aspires to assimilate the roles of connection, human dignity and empowerment in relation to recognizing the experiences of individuals, families and groups. As an integral part of the University of New England’s Master of Social Work online option, the coursework connects social work practice with leadership skills to promote equitable social structures for human health and well-being.

- Theories for family practice that are health-promoting, relational and empowering
- Advanced assessment and intervention methodologies
- Ethical decision-making skills
- Evidence-guided research
- Social activity that encourages social justice and client/community advocacy
